It is our pleasure to announce that Tamara Tatum joined Hanis Irvine Prothero on September 8, 2015. Tamara is part of the Firm’s Paralegal team, and will be assisting attorney Brian Hanis in the areas of Family Law, Bankruptcy,Landlord Tenant and Estate Planning.
Tamara has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Sociology from Washington State University and comes to us with several years of experience working for litigation law firms.
Members of the South King County Bar Association (SKCBA) gathered at The Muckleshoot Casino to celebrate the end of the presidential term of HIP’s family law attorney Jorge Ramos. With the help of great officers and board members, Jorge was able to continue the growth of the SKCBA. Jorge looks forward to staying involved and serving on the SKCBA board.
HIP attorney Jorge Ramos forms new partnership between Communities In Schools and the SKCBA
Communities In Schools (CIS) is the nation’s leading dropout prevention program. They current have 12 affiliates in Washington State with 5 serving King County.
Communities in schools and South King County Bar Association announce new partnership. Each affiliate has a partnership with their school district and through their Site Coordinator model work to connect students to outside community resources. Teaming with Communities In Schools allows us (as individuals or as firms) to make quick connections to support schools in our community.
All 5 King County CIS affiliates (Seattle, Renton, Kent, Auburn and Federal Way) are on board to help connect us into to schools. There are many ways to help: Serve as a mentor, or tutor; host an intern or provide a job shadow. Dee Klem of the CIS Kent office has agreed to be our point person. January 29, 2015 – Jorge Ramos, of HIP and President of South King County Bar Association, organized for the two Kent Regional Justice Center Family Law Court Commissioners to attend a luncheon at the Kent Commons. The event had over 45 attorneys in attendance to ask questions and gain valuable insight into exactly what the Commissioners are looking for when attorneys are presenting their cases.
Hanis Irvine Prothero attorneys and staff were well represented at the annual South King County Bar Association (SKCBA) Holiday bowling event this past Tuesday December 9th at Acme Bowl in Tukwila. Jorge Ramos, HIP family law attorney and president of the SKCBA, was there to host another successful event for all members including several judges and local attorneys. Attendees were treated to a great spread of food, drinks, and a raffle filled with fun prizes for everyone.
